I planted Morning Glory seeds two years ago.  This is the first year it has grown and bloomed!  With the exception of the sunflowers I planted with my Great Aunt Josie when I was about 10, I have never had success growing flowers from seed. For now the Morning Glory is in a large clay pot with three dowels serving as a topiary.  I think that’s just fine, but they need to be replaced with taller dowels and set further apart.

I also have a yellow Gerber daisy on our patio table.  Nathan bought it for me.  I thought for sure it was dying, but it has three blooms on it right now and nice, healthy leaves. I think that’s all the container gardening I’ll enjoy this year unless you count transplanting myself into the gardens of others as I drive by their homes.
