Today Noah grew in confidence.

Today Noah proved to his mother that he only acts like he isn’t paying any attention.

Today I turned my back to get one child.

Today someone wondered, “Where in the world is that child’s parents?”

Today I felt peace and fright all at once.

Today, I lost Noah…

Noah thinks we all will leave him behind.  So today, rather than look for us, he assumed we left him behind.  He ran four city blocks–waiting for the ‘walk’ signal– home from the park to find his mother and sister waiting at home without him. Instead, he came home to find that it was he who had left us.
