Ten years ago today, a couple of kids got married at the ages of barely 22 and almost 21. They didn’t really care about anything other than getting married. School became something that got in the way of being together, but they finished none the less. Today, they see other people getting married at 22 and 21 and wonder why in the world they are getting married so young. Yet they understand what it’s like to be young and in love. Their young marriage was not without trouble, the honeymoon phase disappeared. But, they’ve told me it comes back. They’ve told me they are on their way to a lifetime together– living a honeymoon.
Today we celebrate 10 years of marriage. Thanks for putting up with me, honey!
